Partnership with 3SC Delivering Future Jobs Fund

Working closely with our partners 3SC We are successfully delivering jobs for local young people who have been in long term unemployment. We have employed 90 people to date with a further 80 people set to start in March 2010.

Currently we are contracted to and delivering the Future Jobs Fund performing at 100% success on delivering 90 new jobs in Bootle Liverpool for 18-24 year olds who have been in long term unemployment.

Creating sustained employment opportunities for young people is the cornerstone upon which this opportunity is built.
The prospects for employment of young people, especially those between the ages of 18-24 has been severely affected by the recession, and the Future Jobs Fund offers an opportunity for employers to work with young people to right that economic wrong.

The fund is run by the Department for Work and Pensions in partnership with the Department for Communities and Local Government.

Nationally, the goal is to create 150,000 additional jobs, primarily aimed at 18-24 year olds who have been out of work for nearly a year.  A key objective is that these jobs will deliver real benefits to communities, and expect around 10,000 of these to be green jobs.
