Joe also had difficulty finding employment for over a year after being released from prison. He joined Elixir as a volunteer and like Sean showed the ability to progress and inspire others. Joe has now also been offered a full time position with Elixir as a supervisor.

Sean and Joe were identified for promotion through our robust monitoring processes and through our management teams working closely with participants on a day to day basis.

To support Sean and Joe in their new roles they received one to one coaching, additional training on all machinery and equipment and comprehensive training on health and safety and safe working practices. They will soon be attending external Health and Safety courses to enable them to deliver company inductions to volunteers.
